7/23/18 - Hermiston, OR

We drove to Hermiston, Oregon today over mountains.  There were lots of steep grades with much roadwork.  One grade was 6% for 6 miles.  An 18 wheeler going down hill ahead of us had smoking brakes. My blood pressure went up.  I don’t know how Jim does it.  We got a site and unhooked in 99 degree heat.  We thought it would be cooler in Oregon.  But this town was the hottest in the state today.  I guess we were responsible for bringing it with us.  We unhooked and then went to Hermiston Brewing and to Walmart.
