8/29/18 - Tri-Cities, WA

We sat outside this morning after breakfast and relaxed.  Then after Jim made more phone calls, we went to get gas and bought a sandwich.  This town has a Blimpie restaurant.  Blimpie used to be in Houston and I loved their Blimpie Best sandwich.  I got us one to take with us to Walla Walla.  We are going to try some wine today.  Our friends, Kim and Steve are coming here in a few weeks to do some wine tasting.  They told us we couldn’t go to this area without trying some also.  We don’t know a lot about wine but we went to Woodward Canyon Winery, L’Ecole No. 41 and Waterbrook Winery.  L’Ecole was good -- the tasting room is in an old elementary school.  Waterbrook had a really impressive tasting room and grounds.  We bought a Chardonnay at L’Ecole and a Merlot at Waterbrook to take back to the Casita.
