This morning after breakfast we got ready to
move to the non-hookup overflow camping area.
Jim went to the office to get us a site. When he got there the lady told him there was a cancellation and
we could move two sites down and stay inside the campground. But we have to leave our site at noon and
can’t get into the new site until 2 PM.
We went to the dump station to dump and fill our fresh water tank. Then we drove to the holding area and
unhooked the Casita and went to the nearby library. Jim needed to update the blog and use their printer for a couple
of things. Then we went back to the
Casita in the holding area, hooked up again and waited 10 minutes to go back
into the park. After unhooking again at
our new site, we had a snack of leftover BBQ and then drove to Ice Harbor Lock
and Dam. We took a tour of the salmon
ladder that the fish swim up to get past the dam to go upstream to spawn. They had a man
whose job it was to count the salmon as they swam by a window in his office. We
sat outside in the evening. The camp is
full to the gills of people today through Monday. There are lots of screaming children and barking dogs. Lord, just let us get through this last
holiday!
