Today we drove to the Pittock Mansion in
Portland. It sits at the top of a hill
and you can see downtown Portland and Mt. Hood. It was kind of hazy today and the view wasn’t as good as it could
have been. The house was built in 1909 and has beautiful gardens with some unusual flowers. We walked part of a nearby trail and then drove back to the Oregon
Brewers Festival. It was 100 degrees
here today. The Oregon Lottery had a tent at the festival and you could drop a
large disk down a peg board to try to win a prize. I won a pass to the Oregon State Parks that is good for a
year. I also got a scratch off lottery
ticket that won me $2.00. Then we went
to Cascade Brewing which specializes in barrel aged sour beers.
