7/28/2018 - Portland, OR

Today we went to the Rose Garden and Hoyt Arboretum in Washington Park.  The zoo is here also.  We ran into a brewer from Live Oak Brewing in Austin and his family.  He and I both had Live Oak t-shirts on.  The roses were beautiful.  We walked a loop at the arboretum through the woods and came upon two weddings at decks built along the trail. After our hike, we went to 10 Barrel Brewing and had burgers.  Then we went to Von Ebert Brewing a block over and to Back Pedal Brewing next to 10 Barrel.  We met Craig, another another friend from Houston who now who lives in Portland, at Gigantic Brewing nearby his house.  The Houston Dynamo soccer team was in town to play the Portland Timbers and we watched the game.  The Dynamo lost, 2-1.
