7/9/18 - Clayton, NM

After coffee this morning, Jim went to see the suspension footbridge over the river. Today we drove to Clayton, New Mexico.  We got a dry camping site at Clayton Lake State Park.  The temperature was 88 today and it really cooled off and by bedtime it was 63 degrees.  We slept really well.  The view from our site on the cliff was nice.  Some dinosaur tracks were uncovered in the process of building the dam for the lake.  Jim and I took a walk to see them.  Jim and I sat outside and watched the sunset and played UNO dice.  Swallows have taken up residence under the picnic shelter.  We watched them for a while.  Kim and Steve went to check on our house today and found the sensor that fell off.  They will return tomorrow and fix it for us.
