9/11/18 - Tacoma, WA

This morning after breakfast we went to the Tacoma Art Museum.  We got in free – they don’t charge veterans and their families.  One of the artworks was very unusual.  It was a stack of transparent glass or plastic plates, each of which had been painted.  It was three dimensional and very dense and detailed.  There were glass works by Chihuly here also -- he is a big deal in Tacoma and Seattle.  We were going to go to the Glass Museum by the Glass Bridge but it is closed on Monday and Tuesday.  We had a quick lunch at Taco Bell and then went to Engine No. 9 Brewing and Gig Harbor Brewing.  On the way back we made a stop at Safeway for a few items.  Jim worked on the blog and I watched a movie.  Jim went to the waters edge to take pictures of the sunset.
