9/12/18 - Tacoma, WA

Today we drove to Seattle. We went to the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and to see the Space Needle. Then we went to Pike Place and walked around.  We didn’t get a coffee from the original Starbucks because we did that last time.  The line was out of the door and down the sidewalk because of the tourists.  A few doors down is a famous mac & cheese place called Beecher’s Hand Made Cheese.  We watched them make cheese curds and Jim bought some.  I bought mac & cheese with Anaheim peppers and veggies in it.  It was so creamy and good.  We went to Old Stove Brewing across the street from Starbucks and to Cloud Burst Brewing right where we parked the F150.  Cloud Burst had a really good Blackberry Imperial Stout.

Then we drove to Fremont Brewing.  At this brewery we talked to some Texas people whose daughter lives in Fremont and she was with them.  He had a Mt. Pleasant t-shirt on and that caught my eye.  They gave us some good information on the area.  We were told about the Fremont Troll, so we walked to see it from the brewery.  The troll sits under an underpass and the sun was going down just the wrong way to get a really good picture.  A few people were sitting there waiting for the sun to be on it fully so they could take pictures.  After leaving the Troll, we went to Reubens Brewing, Obec Brewing and to Stoup Brewing.  This makes 999 breweries that we have visited.  We didn’t go to another one for 1,000 because it was late and we needed to get back to camp.  We had considered Bad Jimmy’s Brewing since Jim’s mother called him Jimmy.
