9/16/18 - Olympic National Park, WA

It rained during the night and it was 49 degrees when we woke up this morning.  .  Jim wanted to go see some of the park and take a couple of hikes. We drove Hurricane Ridge Road to the visitor center.  When we got there it was 38 degrees and misting.  The clouds were so low you couldn’t see any view.  We left there and drove to Madison Falls.  It was a little warmer there, 56 degrees.  Then we drove to Marymere Falls and took a muddy hike to it.  By the time we finished it, the sun had started to come out.  We drove back into town and watched part of the Cowboy game at New Moon Craft Tavern.  We then made a quick stop at Safeway and also talked to my son about our mail.  I made dinner and Jim worked on the blog pictures from the past few days.  We started up the generator and watched “War Horse” on the DVR.
