9/19/18 - Fort Stevens State Park, Hammond, OR

After breakfast we went to visit some areas around the state park.  We have been here before but we went out to see them again.  We visited the Peter Iredale shipwreck and the Army Corps of Engineers south jetty observation tower.  Then we went to the Battery Russell (1904/1944).  It started to mist rain just as we got to Fort Stevens.  I didn’t get out of the truck because we had been here before.  Then we drove to Beach Break Brewing and Rogue Astoria tap house.  Rogue is on pier 39 that used to be a cannery.  The old cannery operation is now a museum.  Then we drove to the top of a hill overlooking the town and climbed to the top of Astoria Column and took some pictures at sunset.   We made a last stop at Astoria Brewing/Wet Dog Café.
