We left the National Park this morning and went
to Hammond, Oregon. We got a site at
Ft. Stevens State Park. Then we went to
Buoy Brewing in Astoria, Oregon. Astoria was the first permanent U.S. settlement on the Pacific coast. This
brewery sits on the water where the Columbia River meets the Pacific
Ocean. They have big picture windows with views of the ships traversing the river. There is a plexiglass window in the floor where you can observe (and hear) sea lions on a platform below. Then we went to Hondo’s Brew and
Cork. This is a brewery and a home brew
supply store.
