9/28/18 - Rocky Point, OR

We need to start making our way home but I need to see a National Monument in California just south of the Oregon border.  We drove most of the day to Rocky Point near Klamath Falls.  The smoke returned today as we entered the Willamette Valley near Eugene.  We got a site and then drove to Crater Lake.  The last time we were here you could not see across the lake due to the smoke from wildfires.  When we arrived, the Ranger said it was like that this morning but it was clearing up a little this afternoon.  It was still a little smoky, but we finally got to see Crater Lake.
