7/27/18 - Portland, OR

We drove into Portland and walked around the downtown area.  They have lots of little parks for the different neighborhoods.  There are also lots of statues in the parks.  I think this town has more homeless people than Houston.  They sleep in the parks (even under the statues) and along the freeways and underpasses.  We went to McMenamin’s Market Street Pub, Deschutes Public House, Base Camp Brewing and Wayfinder Brewing. We left at 5PM headed back to the Casita and the traffic was at a standstill, only inching a car length at a time for about an hour.  I googled breweries near me.  We got off the road and went to Royale Brewing and shared a beer.  We finally got back to camp at 7:20.
